Last month, at the SNRIR in Romania, the local hospital 'SCJUPB Timișoara' shared a case of PIAL ADVF using LAVA for embolization.
The doctors planed to perform Compassionate Embolization follow by Compassionate Craniectomy. Based on the advantages of LAVA tantalum powder, they chose to use NeuroSafe Medical Co., Ltd. LAVA to embolize the fistula through four blood vessels.
This is a surgery with an extremely low success rate, but it was ultimately successful, and a follow-up visit 50 days later showed that the patient was already able to engage in rehabilitation activities.
