Case Overview:
- 58-year-old male with a bleeding left occipital arteriovenous malformation (AVM)
- Treated via left posterior cerebral artery (PCA) feeder using a detachable-tip microcatheter
- 3 vials of LAVA administered, achieving 90% nidal occlusion
Clinical Feedback from Dr. Mahmoud:
LAVA demonstrated favorable penetration – potentially attributed to its lower viscosity – while delivering a stable cast, offering a reliable option for complex AVM embolization.
