DredgerTM stent retriever consists of a self-expandable thrombus capturing retriever that bonded with a flexible, tapered push wire and an introduce sheath that is supplied for guiding device into microcatheter. The retriever has a soft distal tip like a small section of guidewire to protect vascular wall from trauma. The push wire is connected to the proximal end of the retriever. Platinum alloy wire and markers are settled on the tip, body and proximal of retriever for fluoroscopic visualization. It is indicated for use in patients with AIS who have a large vessel occlusion (LVO) causing an acute neurological deficit within 6 hours of symptom onset. The device works by trapping a clot and removing it from the blocked vessel, restoring blood flow to the affected area. This procedure is known as mechanical thrombectomy and has been shown to be highly effective in the treatment of AIS.
