Lava-34 Liquid Embolization System

The Lava-34 Liquid Embolization System is an ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) copolymer that provides complete filling and distal penetration of peripheral lesions. Its non-adherent properties allow embolization of more distal lesions without significant risk of catheter sticking, while the higher viscosity allows for controlled deployment.

Lava ^TM Liquid Embolization System is used for the latest technology of EVOH co-polymer and made of a non-adhesive material. so it is more safe and non-stick the catheter.

During preoperative embolization of AVM, with the Lava Liquid Embolization System, the DMSO solvent dissipates into the blood and interstitial fluid, resulting in in situ precipitation of the EVOH copolymer and suspended tantalum as a spongy adherent mass. Then it begins to form the skin and coagulates from the outside in over time.

Lava ^TM Liquid Embolization System is offered in 12, 18 and 34 to provide options to meet many clinical requirements.

Notes for Lava Liquid Embolization System with Microcatheter

After the microcatheter reaches the designated position, the contrast media in the microcatheter needs to be flushed several times. Because the contrast media is more viscous and easily adheres to the inner wall of catheter. If the embolic agent is injected into the microcatheter, DMSO in the embolic agent will be diluted in advance. It will change the components proportion of the embolic agent and causes the performance changed or catheter blocked.
